Resumen

The article is devoted to the study of the barriers that teachers face in the process of developing their digital competencies. The authors classify barriers into organizational, technical, methodological and psychological. During the study, a survey was conducted among teachers of the National Research University "MPEI" to assess the level of the identified barriers. More than half of the respondents noted organizational barriers as the most significant. To overcome them, it is proposed to introduce a system for assessing teachers’ digital competencies and include assessment results in key performance indicators. In addition, an effective solution would be to use a comprehensive support system for teachers. In general, the development of higher education teacher digital competencies is an important task that requires joint efforts of the university administration and teachers. Successful university adaptation to digital education will only be possible if the digital competencies of teachers are improved
