Abstract

Purpose: Considering that talking about entrepreneurship is to discuss the social and economic role that it has in society and that education is a catalyst for social and individual development, this study aimed to analyze the impact of the bachelor's degree programs of the Chapecó-SC campus of the Federal University of Fronteira Sul on the relationship among entrepreneurial education, entrepreneurial skill, and entrepreneurial intention.

Design/methodology/approach: For such, a field study was carried out with the students of the university and, from their responses, the methods of descriptive statistics, correspondence analysis, and quantile regression were employed to understand and compare the relationships between the studied constructs.

Originality/Relevance: The studies presented so far focus on discussing the relationship between entrepreneurial education, entrepreneurial competence and entrepreneurial intention in a single course, usually administration. The originality of the work lies in the comparison with different courses from different areas of knowledge to verify whether it will present the relationship between variables.

Findings: Thus, it was proven that studying Business Management and participating in entrepreneurial education actions influences the development of entrepreneurial skills. However, it was found that entrepreneurial skills and the bachelor's degree program do not interfere with the intention to be an entrepreneur, and what changes the parameters of entrepreneurial intention is the interaction between the entrepreneurial education actions and the program.

Theoretical/methodological contributions: This study provides a new point of view through the quantitative bias regarding entrepreneurial education in the university context, comparing different courses and areas of knowledge.
